Stabbing Suspect Arrested In Gerber

A suspect wanted for a stabbing in Corning has been captured. Just after 9 O’clock Friday night officers and medics were called to the home of Jason Stewart on Butte Street in Corning. Stewart was lying on his bedroom floor suffering from a stab wound in his neck and a defensive wound in his left hand.  He was transported to Saint Elizabeth Hospital in Red Bluff. His condition is not known. The man who stabbed him is believed to be Jose Luis Hernandez the Third. He’s been captured by Tehama County Sheriff’s Deputies with a K-9 in Gerber. Hernandez has been booked into jail for attempted murder.
