Deputies Arrest Man Accused Of Pizza Delivery Robbery

An arrest has been made in Tuesday night’s pizza robbery. 19-year-old Colin Olof, a driver for Westside Pizza, was trying to make a delivery at  the JGW RV Park on Riverland Drive but the address given for the order did not exist. While he was looking around a man flagged him down and brandished a black handgun, demanding that Olof place the pizzas outside his car on the ground and leave the park. Deputies searched the area with help from a CHP helicopter, but the suspect was not found. During a follow-up investigation Wednesday sheriff’s detectives got a tip that the suspect might be 19-year-old Ethan George Purdy, who lives in a travel trailer at the Sacramento RV Park south of where the robbery was done. Thursday afternoon a search warrant was served at the trailer. When Purdy opened the door and saw the detectives, he slammed the door shut and locked it. After about 5 minutes of shuffling around inside Purdy came outside and was detained. Two other people in the trailer were questioned and released. A search reportedly turned up 11 Westside Pizza boxes, multiple Airsoft guns wrapped in electrical tape to make them look real, and 40 grams of Methamphetamine. Purdy was booked into jail.
