An old plywood and molding mill in Yreka was destroyed by fire Tuesday night. Yreka Fire Chief Jerry Lemos told the Siskiyou Daily News that the Thunderbird Mill inferno may have been the most fire he has ever seen in one place. The enormous building hasn’t been a mill for years. It apparently was being used to house refrigeration units for Reser’s Food Products. The cause of the fire hasn’t been determined.
