The National Park Service is conducting a prescribed burn west of Redding Tuesday. The controlled burn near Brandy Creek in the Whiskeytown Recreation Area is expected to be about 50 acres in size. Smoke will be seen to the west of Redding. The burn is part of the Brandy Creek Project and will be located in the Upper Brandy Creek Drainage near Sheep Camp. Brandy Creek Road above the Shasta Bally/Sheep Camp split will be closed through Wednesday.
