Sheriffs Office Releases Photos Of Papini Abductors

There are still a lot of unanswered questions in the Sherri Papini abduction case from last year, but the sheriff’s office has clarified a few things and the FBI has released sketches of the suspects. The 34-year-old mother of two was gone for 3 weeks after vanishing on November 2nd of last year while jogging near her Mountain Gate home. The investigation and search was intensive, with detectives trying every possible angle. More than 20 search warrants were served, and Sherri’s husband Keith took a voluntary polygraph test. It was discovered that Sherri had a texting relationship going with a Michigan man and planned to meet with him when he visited California, but that led went nowhere. Sherri was released by her captors very early Thanksgiving morning in Yolo County. Her wrists were bound to a chain around her waist, and a bag was over her head. She weighed only 87 pounds, her hair was cut short, her nose was broken, she was covered in black and yellow bruises, burns, rashes and chain marks. She also had been branded on her shoulder, though no information has been released about the design of the brand. The motive for the abduction is still unknown, made even more mysterious by the fact that nobody ever sought the $50,000 reward offered by Secret Witness and the family, nor did anyone seek the $100,000 ransom offered by an anonymous donor. $10,000 is still available for anonymous tips. Two Hispanic females were the only suspects Sherri had contact with. Sketches have been made available by the FBI. They were armed with a handgun and were driving a dark-colored SUV. More than 600 tips have been received by the sheriff’s office, which remains the lead investigative agency in the case. Additional details and the suspect sketches are on our Facebook page.
