A Redding man was arrested after hitting a pedestrian with his car. At 12:18PM Thursday, 64-year-old Jerry Brown was driving northbound on Hilltop Drive approaching Lake Boulevard when his car drifted across the southbound side of the road and onto the shoulder. That’s where 21-year-old Tiril Asjord was walking. Asjord suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital. Officers determined that Brown was under the influence of drugs. He was booked into jail for felony DUI with injury.
