Code Enforcement Cites Masseuse For Prostitution

A Redding business was permanently shut down Wednesday after a prostitution sting operation. Redding’s Neighborhood Police Unit sent an undercover officer into five different massage parlors. At four of the businesses the officer just received a massage. When he went to Golden Touch Massage on Churn Creek Road, the masseuse allegedly offered sexual acts for an additional charge. At that point, other officers came in with a code enforcement officer. They reported finding lingerie, condoms and alcoholic beverages, all of which are specifically prohibited under the city’s massage parlor ordinance. The code enforcement officer immediately revoked the business permit and the masseuse was given a misdemeanor citation for prostitution.
