Good Samaritan Stabbed In Weaverville

A man accused in a Weaverville stabbing was then the victim of a hit-and-run. Last Wednesday evening 47-year-old Charles Lambertsen of Douglas City reportedly was being unruly and making a disturbance at a business in Downtown Weaverville. A man tried to assist the employees of the business by intervening but Lambertsen allegedly stabbed the good samaritan and broke his cell phone. Lambertsen then fled, only to be struck by an unknown vehicle. He was found by Trinity County Sheriff’s Deputies and transported to a hospital to be treated, and he was then booked into jail. Deputies believe that he was under the influence of Methamphetamine. At last word the stabbing victim was still hospitalized in stable condition.
