Driver With .394 BAC Found Guilty Of DUI

A jury trial has ended with guilty verdicts for a Shasta County man who crashed his car while he was drunk last December. James Forrest Cramton crashed his car into a ditch near the intersection of Happy Valley Drive and Gas Point Road. He submitted to a blood test an hour-and-a-half later that showed he still had a blood alcohol content of .394%. That alarming number is nearly 5 times the legal limit and would put most people in the hospital for alcohol poisoning. Crampton will be sentenced on Tuesday.
