Woman Killed In Rollover Crash On I-5 In Anderson

A rollover crash has taken the life of a young woman from Redding. The 21-year-old driver was northbound on Interstate Five at 2:15AM Sunday morning in a Chevy Silverado pickup. She was near the Deschutes Road exit when the pickup drifted off the right side of the road.  She tried to get back her lane but overcorrected and pulled the wheel too hard to the left. That sent the truck sideways and it rolled. The woman was ejected and killed. The CHP says they don’t know if drugs or alcohol were a factor and they also don’t know if she was wearing a seatbelt. Her name will be released by the coroner after family is notified.
