The probation department is not an agency that’s generally associated with the word “fun”. Shasta County Probation is trying some outreach with their first ever Fall Resource Fair to be held this Friday. The stated intent is to promote healthy parenting and a pro-social lifestyle for families. A number of participants will provide everything from face painting to carnival games and bounce houses. While the kids are having fun, parents can learn about prevention and intervention services, and about how to be better parents. The event is this Friday from 5 to 8PM at the Martin Luther King Center on Sheridan Street in Redding.
