Donations Needed For Mission’s Thanksgiving Banquet

The Good News Rescue Mission is still in need of turkey donations ahead of their 20th annual Great Thanksgiving Banquet on Wednesday. More than 300 volunteers will serve about a thousand meals. The Thanksgiving dinners will be prepared by Shasta Regional Medical Center. The mission will also give away 500 frozen turkeys, about 10,000 pounds of food and 500 winter coats to around 800 needy families. Everybody is invited to the banquet on Wednesday from 11AM to 6PM at the mission’s dining hall on Veda Street off of South Market. Information on donating can be found at gnrm.org.
