An effort to recall a pair of Redding City Council members has failed. Organizers did not turn in their signatures by the 5 O’clock deadline Tuesday afternoon. The petition was to recall Council Members Francie Sullivan and Kristen Schreder. Nearly 9900 signatures were needed to get the recall question onto a ballot. A special election would have to have been held, likely in the Spring. Both Schreder and Sullivan are up for re-election in the Fall.
