The third annual Northstate Giving Tuesday was a huge success. The one-day fundraising blitz brought in just over a Million Dollars for local non-profit organizations. The first year more than $300,000 was raised. Last year the total was more than $750,000. Tuesday’s total was $1,015,799 in the form of 5,392 individual donations. Turtle Bay was the top recipient with $74,440. A close second was the Boys and Girls Club of the Siskiyous with $71,390. The 14 hour event was administered by the Shasta Regional Community Foundation, which put up more than $85,000 worth of incentives for the 124 participating non-profits.
