There’s been a spike in child sex abuse cases in Tehama County, according to the Corning Observer. The D.A.’s Office is currently prosecuting more than 20 such cases, with defendants ranging in age from 18 to elderly. On Tuesday Corning Police arrested 62-year-old Rodrigo Mendoza Govea on a long list of felony sex crimes, many of them involving force or violence and some of them with children younger than 10. His bail is set at nearly $4 Million.
