A woman’s death in the small community of Dorris has prompted a major crimes investigation by the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and medical personnel were dispatched at 2:30 Friday morning to a home just east of Dorris city limits, where the 40-year-old victim was found unresponsive. She could not be resuscitated. An autopsy will be done to try and determine a cause of death. The Sheriff’s Office, which has not released the woman’s name, is asking anyone with information to call 841-2900.
