K9 Helps Nab Wanted Man In North Redding

Redding Police used a tear gas-like substance to flush a wanted man out of a home Wednesday. The Shasta County Probation Department asked the Neighborhood Police Unit for help in capturing 36-year-old Charles Finn at his home on Lake Boulevard. Finn is a former member of Shasta County’s Most Wanted, and was arrested last February. When officers arrived at his home Wednesday, Finn refused to come out. After telling him several times to come to the door, officers lobbed a canister of aerosol irritant inside. Finn came out a short time later and reportedly tried to run, but he was tracked by a CHP helicopter and taken down by Abel the RPD K9. He was booked into jail on 2 felony warrants, violating his probation and resisting arrest.
