Redding is losing its K-Mart. Sears Holdings Company, which owns Sears and K-Mart, announced Thursday the impending closure of 64 K-Mart Stores and 39 Sears Stores. The Redding location of Sears has been spared this round of closures and will remain open. K-Mart, however, will be closed by early April. The company says it’s on a list of unprofitable stores. The Redding K-Mart opened at its current location in 1975.
