Siskiyou “Tree Climber” Arrested On Numerous Charges

A Siskiyou County man who has escaped arrest by climbing trees was taken into custody on Wednesday morning. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office says that 32-year-old Charles Raymond Tello was wanted on numerous felony and misdemeanor charges. Deputies arrived at his home just before 6AM on Spring Street in Happy Camp because they were attempting to catch him off guard. The sheriff’s office says that Tello has a history of eluding deputies by climbing into tall trees. Deputies arrested Tello with out incident and he was booked into the Siskiyou County Jail. Siskiyou County Sheriff John Lopey said that during the deputies attempt to arrest Tello they stopped an attempted burglary. Apparently 41-year-old Dominick Brown threatened to burn the would-be victims house down. Brown was arrested and booked into jail.
