A break-in at a downtown restaurant was quickly solved by Redding Police. At 5:40AM Friday morning a delivery driver arrived at From The Hearth Cafe in the Market Street Promenade just in time to see a man running out the door. An investigation showed that cash was stolen from the till and change taken from a bucket. Before police even arrived on scene, Officer Brian Berg followed a hunch and talked to some contacts who told him the burglar was 26-year-old Keith Jackson, who goes by the nickname “Havoc”. Officer Berg checked various downtown locations and located Jackson on California Street at Shasta Street. He reportedly admitted to the burglary and still had the money, as well as a From The Hearth gift card. Jackson had apparently gotten in through an unlocked door. He was booked into jail.
