A woman found dead on the road near Shingletown was probably not a victim of foul play, according to the Shasta County Coroner’s Office. 65-year-old Carole Sue Zaninovich of Redding was found the morning of January 23rd on Northwoods Way, which is in a subdivision a few miles east of Shingletown. Next of kin has been notified. An autopsy was done by the coroner’s office, but no injuries were found to suggest she had been hit by a car and it does not appear that she met with foul play. Cause of death is undetermined, pending the results of toxicology testing. Anyone with information that may shed light on the case is urged to call the coroner’s office at 225-5551.
