Over 60-Thousand Worth Of Radio Equipment Stolen From The Forest Service

A reward is offered after the theft of some valuable electronics and other equipment from the Lassen National Forest Offices in Susanville. The radio shop was broken into early last Wednesday morning, and the thieves took more than $60,000 worth of radios, computers and other essential equipment used by firefighters in the Lassen Forest. Officials are suggesting that unless the hard-to-replace equipment is recovered, the safety of firefighters may be at risk when fire season gets underway. A $1000 reward is available for anonymous tips at 252-6400.
