Tippin Receives Good Marks After 1st Year As City Manager

The city council is apparently pleased with City Manager Barry Tippin’s job performance so far, at least according to a press release from the City Manager’s Office. The press release quotes Mayor Kristen Schreder saying Tippin has exceeded expectations according to the list of goals he established when he was hired 6 months ago. Those goals include establishing ten year financial plans for all funds, improve communications with staff and the public, facilitate economic development and improve public safety. The first thing Tippin did as City Manager was to fire Police Chief Robert Paoletti, who has since been replaced by RPD Veteran Roger Moore. The city’s website, cityofredding.org , has a portal called OpenGov to give the public a peek at the inner workings of city government.
