Man Faces At Least 120 Years In Prison After Pimping Conviction

A Sacramento man will never get out of prison after being convicted of gang activity in Shasta County Superior Court. A jury found 22-year-old Stevie Lee Boston guilty on January 30th but proceedings had to be delayed after his family caused a commotion in the courtroom.  Boston was arrested in 2016 for pimping a Redding woman. Redding Police were called to Hinkle’s Market for a woman who had escaped from a nearby apartment. She had been reported as a missing person the previous day, and prior to that, friends had become concerned about a change in her behavior. After police picked her up from Hinkle’s she told them that she had been held against her will, physically and sexually assaulted, and forced to engage in prostitution from Sacramento to Stockton and then back in Redding. She identified the pimp as Stevie Boston. She said he was still at the apartment on Market Street above Boardmart, and she said another woman was there in the same situation she had escaped. Officers found the apartment empty but it looked like a struggle had taken place.  The other woman’s car was found parked nearby with a bullet hole in the driver’s side door. The investigation led to an apartment in West Sacramento, which was raided by a Sacramento Police SWAT Team. Boston was there and was arrested without a fight. He had a long history of gang and gun related crimes and was already a wanted parolee. While officers were at the Sacramento apartment the second woman showed up. Boston has prior strike convictions and was found guilty of various gang-related crimes for his affiliation with the Oak Park Bloods, and for committing crimes within 5 years of being released from prison. When he’s sentenced on March 9th, Boston faces a minimum of 120 years in state prison.
