A man shot to death inside an Oak Run home has been named by the Shasta County Coroner’s Office. Monday morning deputies were sent to a home on Frontier Road in the Mill Creek Subdivision. 49-year-old Jack Barr was found dead inside the house. Family has been notified and a post mortem exam is scheduled. No arrests have been made. Detectives with the sheriff’s major crimes unit are trying to determine who shot Barr and why. They’ve said there’s no indication the general public is in danger. Anyone with information on the homicide is urged to contact the major crimes unit at 245-6135.
