Man Who Allegedly Beat And Robbed Elderly Woman Arrested

A wanted man has been captured after the home invasion robbery of an elderly woman off of Harley Leighton Road two weeks ago. 81-year-old Eutropia Ledford had been bound with duct tape and beaten about the head and upper body with an unknown object. The two perpetrators then drove around town charging her credit cards and taking her cash from the bank. An investigation by Shasta County Sheriff’s Detectives led to the arrest of Ethan Taylor, believed to be one of the robbers, and James Gleed, accused of later using one of the credit cards. The other alleged robber, Justin James Ezell, had been at large until 11:30AM Friday morning when Redding Police found him at a homeless camp near Polk and Sutter Streets. His arraignment is set for Monday afternoon.
