Some gasoline thieves left behind a lot of damage at U-Haul’s main Redding rental facility. At 5:18AM Friday morning, Redding Firefighters were sent to the location on East Cypress Avenue after multiple reports of a vehicle fire. They arrived to find three U-Haul moving trucks on fire. The flames were quickly extinguished before they had a chance to spread further. Investigators determined that two people had been stealing fuel when they caused the fire. One truck was completely destroyed and two others were severely damaged, with a loss estimate of $150,000.
