E-mailed Threat Forces Lockdowns At Siskiyou County Schools

Siskiyou County officials are quite confident that there are no bombs at any of the county’s schools, but precautions were taken following a widely distributed bomb threat. The schools targeted in the e-mail are in the Scott Valley and Tulelake School Districts, but apparently an identical or similar e-mail was sent to other schools around the state. The identified schools were placed on lockdown and deputies were sent to the schools to do security sweeps. The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office stresses that they believe there to be no immediate, credible threat.
