Man Caught Selling Stolen Helicopter Helmet On Facebook

A valuable helicopter helmet stolen from Shasta Regional Medical Center has been recovered after the alleged thief tried to sell it. The helmet belongs to Reach Air Medical Services. It was stolen March 5th from an equipment room at the hospital. Redding Police had no leads in the case until Wednesday, when they were called by Reach employees, who had found the helmet being offered for sale on Facebook Marketplace. Members of the neighborhood police unit made arrangements to meet with the person offering it for sale. When 27-year-old Nicholas Brunsvik allegedly showed up with the helmet in his possession, officers say he tried to run away but was quickly taken into custody and booked into jail for possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.
