Several Arrested At Home Where Officers Have Been Called 40 Times

Multiple arrests have been made in an East Redding burglary. On April 7th a large amount of goods was taken from the home, including jewelry, electronics and clothing belonging to a family member who recently passed away. Officer Chad Gross followed leads to a house on Comet Street that police have been called to more than 40 times in the past year. Many of the calls have involved drugs using and dealing. A search warrant was served Sunday seeking drugs and stolen property. A CHP helicopter assisted, and it was apparently needed because officers say 28-year-old Troy Orbie Farrare took off, jumping fences and running through neighbors’ yards. Farrare was caught two blocks away and taken into custody after reportedly fighting with officers. He already had theft-related warrants. A search of the house reportedly turned up needles, meth pipes and other paraphernalia in almost every room. The back yard was full of trash. Four more people were arrested. Dominic Dever Cardwell, Ramona Maria Cardwell and Aaron Matthew Huff are charged with maintaining a place where drugs are used or sold. Katie Danielle Conn is charged with failing to charge her GPS ankle monitor. Code enforcement will address health and safety issues at the house.
