Marine Corps Jets To Make Stop In Redding

Some of America’s finest jet fighters will be stationed in Redding temporarily this weekend. Six Marine Corps F-18 Hornets out of Miramar will be hosted by Redding Municipal Airport as they conduct training exercises. The jets are expected to arrive on Thursday evening and stay through Sunday. The airport has released the information in order to explain the presence of the fighters, but this is not an invitation to go look at them. In fact, airport staff is required to refuse allowing anyone to get near the planes or even to stand along the fence line or park anywhere other than the public parking lot.
