An intense search was launched in Keswick for a young special needs child. Shortly after 5 O’clock Friday afternoon Edward Majewski called from his home on Market Street in the Town of Keswick and reported that his 5-year-old grandson, who is autistic, hadn’t been seen for about 40 minutes. Shasta County Sheriff’s Deputies started searching immediately and they were soon joined by Cal-Fire, the CHP and the BLM, as well as numerous Keswick area neighbors. The boy was found by Cal-Fire and a neighbor walking on the Sacramento River Trail about a half mile from home. He was uninjured and returned to his family.
