Search For Missing Woman Called Off

After 5 days of exhaustive searching by more than a dozen public agencies and many volunteers, the search effort has been suspended for Lauralyn Palmer. Last Friday afternoon the 71-year-old Fall River Mills woman left to take her dog for a walk from her home on Cassel Fall River Road near Shoshoni Loop. Her husband reported her missing two hours later, saying she may be suffering from some early stages of dementia. The dog, a Queensland Heeler named Lucy, came home on her own at around Noon Tuesday. The sheriff’s office says they’ve gotten a number of tips about possible sightings and suspicious circumstances, but none have developed into solid leads. Lauralyn Palmer is 5-Foot-2 and 140 pounds with gray hair, and she wears glasses.
