City Offers Credits To Help Redding Based Kitchen Company Expand

Economic incentives have convinced a manufacturer to expand their operations in Redding. Captiveaire, Inc is the leading manufacturer of commercial kitchen ventilation systems in the country, and their clients all over the west coast are serviced by the Redding operation off Airport Road, where they’ve been since 2006. Two years ago Captiveaire was looking to expand their operations, and they considered moving the whole plant to Nevada or Oklahoma. The city offered job credits and the company decided to stay, investing in a building across the street from their current location. The city council has made good on the promise by authorizing $116,000 in job credits to offset development impact fees. Captiveaire will now add 29 workers to their current crew of 132.
