Railroad traffic was disrupted, as well as vehicular traffic on Balls Ferry Road, after a big rig got stuck on the tracks east of Cottonwood early Tuesday morning. At 4:05AM on Balls Ferry Road just north of Trefoil Lane, the tractor-trailer jackknifed and crashed into the crossing arms, then the trailer became stuck on the tracks and the truck was stuck on the concrete base for the signal light. Union Pacific was notified as a heavy duty tow truck was used to clear the tracks. Traffic reopened for the trains and the cars at around 5:20AM.
