K9 Helps Capture Wanted Felon In Anderson

Anderson Police captured a wanted man from Oregon, with some K9 assistance. At around 12:30PM Sunday afternoon, officers were patrolling on foot at the Anderson Meadows apartment complex on Highway 273 when they saw 28-year-old Joshua Michael Parker walking through the complex. They recognized Parker and knew he had a felony warrant for a parole violation. He’s on parole for robbery. When they tried to talk to him he reportedly took off running. He jumped a fence, and then jumped it again, finding himself directly in the path of Aero the K9. Parker was told that he better surrender or Aero would come after him, but he apparently chose to run. Aero quickly took Parker down. After a visit to a hospital for his dog bites, Parker was booked into jail.
