Woman Found With Fake Money Sentenced To 120 Days In Jail

A Tehama County woman has been sentenced after being caught heading to a casino to gamble with some fake money. Marion Audrey Phillips was en route to Rolling Hills Casino in Corning when she was pulled over for a traffic violation. She told the deputy who stopped her that she was on searchable probation, so she was searched. She had 13 counterfeit $100 bills. She admitted that she intended to pass it off as real money. She’s been sentenced to 120 days in county jail, a 5 year suspended prison sentence and 5 years formal probation.
