Redding Police made a major crime sweep of some problem areas around town Wednesday. Assisted by Anderson Police and the Shasta County Probation Department, officers used bicycles, off road motorcycles and patrol cars as they focused on parks, trails, and business districts. More than 80 people were contacted, 7 citations were issued and 13 arrests were made for warrants and drug violations.
