A major West Redding byway will be completely closed for a few months. Quartz Hill Road between Snow Lane and Terra Nova Drive is being overhauled with new curbs, gutters, sidewalks, lighting, storm drains and bike lanes. A full closure will begin this Monday and continue through the end of August. It’s a long way around to use the preferred detour, which is Market Street, Lake Boulevard and Keswick Dam Road. Unfortunately for residents of the quiet River Park Drive neighborhood, that will be a much shorter route. Drivers who use that detour are advised to use caution and courtesy.
