A dog has been found after running from a fatal crash in Modoc County. On May 30th a rollover crash on Highway 139 about 12 miles north of Canby killed 48-year-old James Gerhard Johnson. When the family was notified, they asked about Johnson’s dog, which was seen running away after the crash. Her name is Lena, a 4-year-old Shepherd mix. KQMS ran a story on the dog, as did many other news outlets. On Sunday a Forest Service employee found Lena in the area and she’s been returned to her family.
