A natural gas leak led to a number of evacuations in Anderson Thursday afternoon. The leak was detected at around 2 O’clock on the 1600 block of Veterans Lane. Immediate neighbors were evacuated and nearby residents were told to shelter in place and shut off their gas lines. Shasta County Head Start was also evacuated. PG&E crews had the leak stopped at around 3:15PM and residents were allowed to return.
