Officers Cite 29 During Traffic Sting In Red Bluff

Red Bluff Police wrote dozens of tickets during a sting operation targeting drivers failing to yield to pedestrians. Red Bluff ranks 27th in the state for per capita vehicle versus pedestrian collisions. For bicyclists the city comes in at number 6. On Friday officers hit several intersections around town. They had a plain clothed officer crossing in a crosswalk while two patrol cars and a motorcycle stood by and watched. During the 4 hour operation, 29 failure to yield tickets were written. Two of them were unlicensed drivers. Red Bluff Police say they’ll do the same sting again soon.
