A home has burned in the City of Shasta Lake. Firefighters responded a little before 2:30PM to the house on Central Avenue a few hundred feet west of the railroad tracks. They arrived to find the structure heavily involved with fire and producing a lot of smoke.
A vegetation fire just south of Redding has been halted by an aggressive multi-agency attack. The blaze broke out Tuesday afternoon in the brush off of Canyon Road very close to where the stolen van full of show dogs was found a couple of weeks ago. Cal-Fire and Redding Fire have contained the burn to about a half-acre.
