A registered sex offender who’s already well known by Redding Police was arrested after multiple reports over the course of a couple of hours of him showing up at various locations and doing indecent things Wednesday. At 4:15PM in the afternoon there were reports of a man in his 20’s masturbating next to the roadway near the Eureka Way/Court Street intersection. He was gone by the time officers arrived but then at 5 O’clock police were called after a child discovered a naked man inside the Sacramento River Trail restrooms at the end of Traveled Way. Again, he was gone by the time officers arrived. The next report was at 6:20PM when multiple witnesses said a man was on North Market Street exposing himself to passing drivers. Officers arrived in time to arrest 28-year-old Daniel Fauston Bonnie. He’s on parole from a robbery conviction and has also been convicted of indecent exposure. He had apparently cut off his GPS ankle monitor, allegedly the third time he’s done that this year. Bonnie has been arrested 7 times since January.
