A Weaverville man has been arrested for a knife attack reported last week. The Trinity County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday that they were called to the North Street Trailer Park in Weaverville last Tuesday just after Midnight. Multiple people were reporting a man had been stabbed. 44-year-old John Jenkins was found on the ground bleeding as people were trying to render aid. He had been stabbed multiple times in the face and neck. Deputies interviewed witnesses, who identified the attacker as 34-year-old Adam Canfield. The following evening a deputy on patrol spotted Canfield walking in Weaverville and arrested him. Canfield is charged with assault with a deadly weapon.
