The second house fire of the day for Redding Fire Department Tuesday was all the way across town from the first. At around 9 O’clock, engines were dispatched to a house on the corner of Lake Boulevard and Irish Lane. They found the house well involved and called for a second alarm. After the downed power lines were de-energized, firefighters made a quick stop on the fire. Lake Boulevard was closed in both directions for about two hours. Nobody was home when the fire started and the cause is under investigation.
