A motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Hartnell Avenue Thursday afternoon. At around 3:15PM at the intersection of Hartnell and Robert Court in front of Dude’s Drive-In, the driver of a BMW station wagon apparently misjudged the speed of an approaching Kawasaki motorcycle and made a left turn into his path. The rider broadsided the BMW, destroying the motorcycle and caving in the side of the car. The rider was taken by ambulance with serious injuries, though he was conscious when he was taken away. Both drivers appeared to be juveniles. Less than a half-hour earlier at the corner of Hartnell and Churn Creek Road, a car made what was described as a slow motion roll onto it’s roof. That driver was not injured.
