Cal-Fire and Shasta County Fire Department chased some vegetation fires Sunday. A fire in Churn Creek Bottom near Knighton Road that started at around 2 O’clock was contained to around 2.5 acres with no structural damage. Another vegetation fire broke out shortly after 3 O’clock near the cross of Happy Valley Road and Olinda Road. It was contained at one acre. Both fires are under investigation.
