BLM Working To Repair Damage To Recreation Areas

Natural resource specialists from the Bureau of Land Management are working to mitigate damage caused by the Carr Fire. They will be repairing bridges and culverts on recreation areas and preserving cultural sites. They will also be replacing signs and repairing mine shaft access that was exposed after vegetation burned exposing them. Officials say they will be permanently sealing off the access. Erosion repair is also under way as fall rains are hopefully not too far off.
