A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a utility pole on Highway 299 in McArthur Monday night. A 911 call was made about 7:15PM which described the bike as traveling about 100mph before hitting the pole. The coroners office was called to the scene about 7:45PM. The rider of the motorcycle has not been identified.
